Me, hard at work...on "Play-do Noses" the other day...and yes, that is PILES of stuff on my kitchen counters in the background...
A few thoughts that have nothing to do with decorating :-) .... for my regular readers...if you're just visiting for the first time, skip to the bottom of this post...
It's just a short post for today, my friends. (Or rather two short posts.) I am falling behind on some stuff - still playing catch-up from losing my hard drive - and to top it off, for some reason my older daughter's sleeping habits have totally changed - she's sleeping less, and not napping at all - which means I'm having to totally re-think when I can spend time blogging. Arg! In fact, I can hear both their little voices, wide awake at this very moment - way earlier than usual - sorta putting a damper on the old inspiration, if you know what I mean! Ah, the joys of working from home. :-) No, really, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I love being here to be mommy to them. But as my business has taken off, I find I'm scrambling to get organized in the midst of success...trying to figure out what my boundaries should be...trying to have a more set schedule in order to better separate work & family (my brain needs this kind of categorization). I'm sure any of you who work from home can totally relate! Anyway, I think I'll take the next couple of days off from posting, so I can try to play "catch-up" on writing my e-zine and a few other things, and will be back Friday with another Fab Finds post. And, of course, you can find me guest blogging this week at Peppers & Pollywogs.
In the meantime, be sure to enter my giveaway!! The deadline to enter is Saturday, June 7. I've so enjoyed reading your comments!! Keep 'em coming!

This is such a fun picture! Made me smile this morning.
ReplyDeleteWhat did NOT make me smile--hearing you're going away for a couple of days. But boy, do I understand. I'm so far behind on everything right now that it's getting ridiculous. The kids are off school after tomorrow, too, so today may be my last "quiet day" for awhile. Unfortunately, I'll be out of the house all day and won't be able to do any of the work that's calling my name.
Good luck with everything you're juggling--including sleep schedules! -Julia :-)
Good to have a break - looks fun!
ReplyDeleteGotta love playdoh noses!
ReplyDeleteIt can completely throw off your schedule when your kids sleeping patterns change. So much of my day is planned around their naptimes and bedtimes.
What a cute picture! I so understand being behind on things and needing to take a break from the blog world! Though it's hard to stay away.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I love your glasses. I have some similar:)
CUTE picture!! I miss the days of Play-do. Never thought I'd say that, but I do!
ReplyDeleteHope you catch up on everything soon- we will miss you!
I can't help but giggle a little to myself. Not because you are wearing play-doh, which clearly is what you are supposed to do with it, but because you are where I have been and I know how you feel.
ReplyDeleteBalance.
What the heck does that mean?
No worries... things will balance out. Right now, the boys are coloring away (with my input and assistance in drawing the proper sized wheels on the car) and I am catching up on blog posts.
Life is good. Wait until they both are done napping! It was a bitter sweet day for me!
I LOVE this picture, Courtney! What a beautiful family you are! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture! That's so hard when thier sleep schedules change and you have to try to shove bits and piece' sin every where. I guess that's why we blog at midnight! ;) Jen R
